Codemasters has changed their policy to (a bit) mod-friendly, that means we don't need any more to use NEFS.EXE, and doesn't need to replace .NEFS files that means every skin will be compatible with On-Line events!

Now already enought to make a sub-folder under cars folder with the 3 letters linked to the car and an another sub-folder with the name of the slot, where we should put custom liveries .PSSG files.
For example, you don't need to touch original "6rb.nefs" file if you wish to use a custom livery for "MG Metro 6R4" , just make a sub-folder called "6rb" and a sub-folder called "livery_00" or "livery_01" etc. -it depends on which folder name (slot) used for your custom livery and the third, last sub-folder, which always called "textures_high" !
In this case .PSSG files enough to copy to this location:: cars\6rb\livery_00\textures_high
